    Thanks

Appreciate the effort that went in to making the tutorial. That's what made it possible to follow very closely. The house is great!

    RE:Thanks

Thanks Finno! Glad you were able to build and now enjoy the house!

    Awesome Work

I first seen screen shots of this house on http://minecraftarchitecture.com/ and by the pictures alone attempted to re create the house. Needless to say, I totally messed it up and then I found these videos and followed them. I actually made it just as you did and want to say thanks for the awesome design and the the amount of time and specifics you put into the videos!! Awesome job and look forward to see some more of your great designs!!!

    Complicated.

A bit too complicated. It's good, but you should have shown how many blocks inbetween the big gap on foundations.

    Great But One Problem...

It would've been nice if the original pictures had included a picture of the front. I mistook the picture of the back of the house to be the front and built much of it backwards... Time to deconstruct. :(
That aside, thanks for the tutorial. It's a great design and I can't wait to finish it. :D

    Fire

How did you get the birch(?) wood on the fireplace to not catch on fire? When I built my fireplace, the birch caught on fire and it continued to spread to the rest of the wood of the house for about 6 spaces before I could put it out.

    @blueflam3s

you put bricks around it or cobblestone so it doesnt catch on fire :P

  • TechnoWolf Sunday, 12 February 2012

    RE:Fire

See comment exchange between RiRi and I at the other "Minecraft Palace" blog post here at MCL. You don't have the birch separated from the fire with sandstone.

  • Blueflam3s Monday, 13 February 2012

    Duh...

I see what I did wrong. I didn't notice the third layer of sandstone.

    view

how are you able to get such a nice "birds eye" view

  • TechnoWolf Friday, 24 February 2012

    RE:view

The vid was filmed while using Minecraft's "Creative" mode, in which you can fly anywhere at will and have unlimited resources available to build whatever you can imagine. It was done this way in the interest of making the tutorial as concise and informative as possible. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Exact amounts

Anyone got the exact amounts of what I'd need?
Don't want to start if I can't finish it.

    RE:Exact amounts

Thanks for your post, I've updated the blog post and the YouTube description with the counts of materials. Sorry late to reply on this.
